Mr. Leonne Pettigrew was born March 11, 1977 to the Union of Danny and Donnetta Pettigrew. He was the youngest of twin boys. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Lula Williams. Mr. Leonne Pettigrew was educated in District 189 and he graduated from East Side High School in 1996. He was united in Holy Matrimony in 2007 to Charlesa Clay-Pettigrew and to this union one daughter was born, Donta’Lisa Fountain. He gave her the nick name “Baby Girl.” Mr. Leonne Pettigrew was a DJ by trade and a people’s person. He was known by family and friends as “DJ Candy Man.” He never met a stranger. On the day of his demise, he was laughing and talking with the nurses. He loved to sing and that led him to singing with a group called Odyssey. He was known for his charisma, smile and laughter. He will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten. Mr. Leonne Pettigrew departed this life on April 27, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Charlesa Pettigrew, his parents; Donnetta and Danny Pettigrew, three sons; Jermain Winston, Nehemiah Pettigrew, and Leonne Pettigrew Jr. two daughters, Donta’Lisa Fountain and Mya Robins. Five brothers; Charles Huff, Deonne Pettigrew, Danny Swiney, Danquet Pettigrew and Cody Shankle; Six sisters; June Williams, Portrait Pettigrew, Danella Lorthridge, Sophia Scott, Danita Polk and Taylor Pettigrew.
