Mr. Eddie H. Woodcox was born April 4, 1926 to Mr and Mrs Johnnie and Adosia Woodcox in Pickens (Holmes County) MS. Eddie Hue was the tenth of ten children born to this union. His parents Johnnie and Adosia, his wife, Bessie Lee Woodcox, one son, Willie D. Woodcox, all of his brothers and sisters Izola; Thomas; Annie; John Earl; Pledge T; Burt; Andrew Lee; James and Arisco preceded him to glory. He was the last one of his family.
He confessed his belief in Christ as his personal savior and was united with Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Eddie Hue was a veteran of the US Navy for the campaign to liberate the South Koreans from the clutches of the North in the 1950s.
On April 7, 1947, Eddie Hue was joined in holy matrimony to Ms Bessie Lee Teat, to their union ten children were born. They later moved to Chicago and became members of New True Vine Baptist Church in the 1960’s. This union was blessed and they shared over 63 years of blissful happiness.
Eddie Hue departed this life on May 6, 2016, right after his celebration of 90 years living. He lived a long and honorable life blessed with love and respect from all that knew him. Now he was called home to be with his true love, Bessie Lee. He leaves to cherish his great memory, his nine children, Annie R. Miles; Walutha Woodcox; Catherine Willingham; Eddie P. Woodcox; Dolores Johnson (Ralph); Keith B. Woodcox (Merry); Tony R. Woodcox; Curtis Woodcox (Brigitta); Corrie A. Woodcox (Tracy); Sixteen Grand Children; Eighteen Great Grand Children; a host of nieces, nephews and other friends
