Iyana McEady

Iyana McEady was born on May 5, 2002 in Okinawa, Japan. Her parents are Mark McEady (Manhattan, KS) and Shonda Blanks (Scott AFB, IL). She has one brother Tyran Blanks and one sister Nyla McEady (Scott AFB, IL). She was preceded in death by Her paternal grandfather, Frank McEady, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Daisy Mae Blanks and her step-grandmother, Sharon Hopson (Meridian, MS), 2 aunts Robin Coleman and Latasha Hopson-Nelson(Meridian, MS). In 2004 she became a big sister and a middle child at the same time. In 2008, Iyana was baptized at Faith, Hope, and Love Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. In 2012, Iyana became a published author of her first book, titled- Iyana: Past, Present, Future via Scott Elementary School and also she was an active participant of the Safety Patrol at Scott Elementary School Shiloh, Illinois. In 2013, (April) she won her first ever pageant, Miss Amazing Preteen Division for the state of Illinois. In July 2013, she was also 1st Runner Up for Ms. Amazing National Competition in Omaha, Nebraska. Iyana graduated from Mascoutah Middle School May, 2016. While attending Mascoutah Middle School she was a member of the Spanish Club. At Mascoutah High School, she was a member of the Spanish Club and also manager for the Girls track team. In May 2017, she received her Driver’s Permit. Iyana was excited about driving. On July 21, 2017, Iyana earned her wings to be with our Lord. Hopson(Meridan, MS); Aunts Catasha Blanks and Rosailynne( Terrell) Moore (Meridan, MS); Uncles Morris Blanks, Bryant Blanks, Robert Martay Hopson all of Meridan, MS.
