Lawrence Brazil Sr.

Mr. Lawrence Edward Brazil Sr. was born January 7, 1954 in Mounds City, IL. to Lillie and Percy Brazil. He was preceded in death by his father; Mr. Percy Brazil, daughter; Kim Angeleeta Brazil, brother; James Brazil, sister; Eugenia Perkins, three aunts; Mildred Lofton, Lucille Norman and Ivory McClendon. Lawrence was educated in East St. Louis District 189. He was employed at General Box Co. in East St. Louis until the company went out of business. He also worked at Christian Welfare Hospital for years and Bernard Health Care Center. Lawrence was united in Holy Matrimony to Dottye Griffin Brazil on May 9, 1972 and to this union four children were born. Lawrence loved TV shows such as, Gun Smoke and Andy Griffin. He also enjoyed playing card games and Dominos. Lawrence Brazil departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Lawrence Brazil Sr. leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother; Lillie Mae Brazil of Carbondale, IL.; one son, Lawrence E. (Dwanyetta) Brazil Jr. of Fairview Heights, IL.; three daughters, Natasha Griffin, of Belleville, IL. Keisha Brazil-Taylor of O’Fallon, IL. and Camillia Perkins of Milwaukee, WI.; Six brothers, Eugene Gregory, Jerry Norman, Ricky Brazil, Larry Jones, Lonnie Brazil and Torry (Eva) Brazil; six sisters, Lynda White, Sally Johnson, Joyce Brazil, Jackie Brown, Barbara Brazil and Tammy Rhodes; Uncles, Nathaniel Terrell and Archie Terrell. Aunts; Lucille Wade and Bester Davis. Thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three special friends, Ms. Mona, Bobby Shanklin and Ronnie Watson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other friends and relatives.
