Visitation service will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturday , September 1, 2018 at Teat Chapel, 10419 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, IL and service will follow. He leaves to cherish his memories, a son Matthew Akins, III of Belleville , IL:  one daughter, Angela Flagg of St. Louis, MO: Five sisters, Viola (Garvin) Lampkin, Karen Akins, GeanettaValorie Akins, and Deborah (Jessie) Hogan all of Belleville, IL, and Kimberly (Burrentus) Mumford of Caseyville, IL : Four grandchildren, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews other relative and friends.
