Mrs Helen L. Waters

Helen (Ms. Helen) Louella Waters, 70, of Caseyville, IL, born November 11, 1947, from the union of Robert and Helen Ruff, died February 6, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Ruff, nee Davis; her brothers, Robert and William Ruff; her sister, Gesna Robinson and brother-in-law, Robert Robinson. As the daughter of a minister, she met Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sycamore Temple Church of God In Christ in Asheville, N.C. Helen worked as a childcare provider at the many military bases she lived at as a supporting spouse to her husband. She retired from the child care center at Scott AFB, IL on December 31, 2010. Helen was a 1965 graduate of Stephens-Lee High School, in Asheville, N.C. She was a faithful, dedicated member of Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lebanon, IL, who enjoyed singing in the church choir; assisting in the culinary department and helping out where ever she was needed. Helen was a loving, devoted, and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who cherished spending time with her family and listening to gospel music. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Retired CMSgt. Selma E. Waters ; her children, Darren E. Waters, Retired Navy of Virginia Beach, Va; Sharon Albert (Michael) of Belleville, IL.; Kimberly Waters, of Sembach, Germany. Her grandchildren SSgt Justin and wife Isabel Waters, United States Air Force stationed in Panama City, Florida; Brittanny Waters, St. Petersburg, Florida; Jaelon Albert and Fiancé Abigail Stephens of Edwardsville, IL and Jaridd Albert, Champaign, IL Great grandchild, Xaiden Waters and twins due in March Annalise and Gabriella of Panama City Florida.
