Rev. Maurice Ricard departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on September 13, 1954, in New Orleans, LA, and most recently resided in Belleville, IL, until his passing.
Maurice was a proud graduate of L.B. Landry Senior High School in New Orleans, LA. Following graduation, he honorably enlisted in the United States Army. His faith and commitment to ministry led him to pursue and earn a Bachelor of Theology degree from Union Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. He was a devoted and faithful member of St. Stephen's Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA, where he served diligently until his health no longer permitted.
Maurice leaves behind cherished memories with his beloved wife, Crystal Harlen Ricard, and daughter, Krysta' Lynn Ricard. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert Ricard Sr., Ella Mae Ricard, and Wayne (Neldana) Ricard; his godchildren: Kaydrell Ricard, Althea Major, Ashley Leonard, Chauntrice Ricard, Dymond Johnson, Kalea Cornin, and Bria Cornin; as well as a host of family members and dear friends.

Visitation begins at 10:00 AM Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Memorial Service: A special celebration of Rev. Ricard’s life will be held in New Orleans in May 2025 (details to be announced at a later date).
