Samuel Jamaal Brown came into the world full of joy on August 25, 1980 to Janet Marie (Williams) Brown and Samuel Brown, Jr. in Centreville, IL. Although he was called home earlier than anyone would have expected on July 22, 2016, his life is surely one to be celebrated.
Jamaal attended Dunbar and Rock schools in East St. Louis and went on to get a Certificate of Construction Work from the East St. Louis Youth Build Program.
He was a natural comedian and always made people laugh. He loved to have a good time, play board games with his family, and thought he was the King of video games! His greatest character traits, as evidenced by all those who knew him, were that he was a fun person to be around, very creative, respectful, resilient, and crafty.
Jamaal will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He leaves behind his daughters, Jameela Marnae Brown and Ja’Kayla Armonii Brown, son, Kenwan Jamaal Brown, mother, Janet Brown, father, Samuel Brown, Jr., sister, Lakesha Rochelle Brown, Godbrother, Donvito Weston, and a host of loving cousins, aunts, uncles and long-time friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by Kenwan and Jameela’s mother, Charity Scott.
We will miss you every day, Jamaal, especially your smile, and you will forever remain in our hearts!
