Sheridan Tourse

Sheridan A. Tourse, 94, of Belleville, Illinois (formally Norwalk, Connecticut) went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:53am on February 6, 2024. Sheridan was born to William and Vivian (Wilson) Tourse on September 1, 1929, in New York City, New York.

He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School Class of 1947 (Ridgewood, NJ). He served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman at Tripler Army Hospital (Honolulu, HI) from June 1948 to June 1952). Sheridan was self-employed for many years. He owned and operated, “Sparkle” a cleaning business in Stamford, CT. He worked as an In-Home Health Care Professional during his later years.

He married Willie Mae Tourse (June 10, 1994), in Stamford, CT. Sheridan and Willa were married 20 years prior to her passing in November 2014. Sheridan enjoyed fishing, visiting the beach, taking daily strolls through the neighborhood and parks, bird watching, classic movies and musicals and spending time with family .

Sheridan leaves to cherish many precious memories his daughters, Darlene Tourse-Bowen of New Haven, CT, Charmaine (Russell) Tourse-Davis of Stamford, CT, Sylvia, and Cynthia Sanders; Sons, Norman (Rosemary) Sanders, Gerald Sanders all of Rockford, IL, Tony (Katherine) Sanders of Los Banos, CA, and Karry Sanders of Belleville, IL.; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
