Brought Forth in Praise Willie B. Wallace Jr. was born March 14,1947 to the late William Sr. and Irene Wallace. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers, Moses King, Aaron King and Frank Wallace and sister, Zola Jackson. Expression of Great Joy He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Obie Rush. A Passion For Living Junior as he was called by everyone that knew him graduated from Lincoln Senior High School and went to the Army. After being discharged from the Army, he began working at Boyds Men Store at St. Clair Mall until he retired to take care of his mother. While working he attended State Community College and received an Associates Degree. He also attended a Bible College and attained a degree in Biblical Studies. The love of his life was wrestling. When they had wrestling at the Chase and the Kiel, he and his family attended every week. Afterwards he watched it on TV everytime it was on. He also loved going to the casinos before he was confined to his wheelchair. He would bet his famous “nickel”. Another passion for living was trivia. Before he became ill, he played trivia with his sister Donna (Diane) and other members from the Veterans Administration. He was one of the most knowledgeable members of the team. He played every occasion he could until his health failed. Truly Loved He departed this life on Wednesday, July 12 at Memorial Hospital. He leaves to cherish, two sisters, Donna Samuels and Juanita Triplett both of East St. Louis, IL., a brother Martlis Wallace of East St. Louis, IL.; two nieces, Darla Samuels of Leesbury, GA and Velviette King of Belleville, IL.; four nephews, Carl Triplett of East st. Louis,IL., Antwon, Moses Jr. and Pierre King of Belleville, IL.; a beloved friend, Robert(Robbie)Taylor and the person that baked the other love of is life (cakes) Jonnie Taylor and a host of other friends and relatives.
